Welcome
Welcome to the HANDS in Autism Program website. Our program serves as the outreach and education portion of the Christian Sarkine Autism Treatment Center. The Center and program are located at Riley Hospital for Children in downtown Indianapolis and are affiliated with the Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry.
The HANDS in Autism program focuses on non-clinical, educational, and research services. General informational and traditional learning opportunities are available to develop community awareness and knowledge about the disorder. The distinct focus of the program is on providing hands-on learning opportunities for professionals as well as establishing coaching and mentoring relationships conducive to the building of local capacity in the application of the knowledge gained. The programs offered seek to address the various levels of learning appropriate to the variety of consumer needs and learning styles.
This website contains many resources and a wide variety of information on autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) and empirically-supported interventions for individuals with ASDs. The tabs at the top of the page will take you to the many areas of our site, but feel free to visit the Site Map if you need help locating something.
